LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (LTO)
General Requirement:
* Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses in microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, and parasitology.
* One (1) year documented supervised laboratory experiences; knowledge of quality control / quality assurance methods.
* Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access;
* English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking and writing.
Specific Requirement:
* Must be familiar with standard laboratory reagents and proper storage;
* Familiar with standard laboratory equipment and quality control / assurance to ensure proper functioning;
* Must be knowledgeable of procedures for pure culture isolation for archival of both clinical specimens and pathogens recovered in the
laboratory
* Must be able to conduct several clinical microbiology assays, including but not limited to, standard bacterial isolation and identification and immunoassays.
